Let the Reading Adventure Begin!

Welcome to another exciting year in Reading this year. I can't wait to get students excited about READING! There are many fun and exciting adventures in the Library that I have planned this year. Students will have many chances in Accelerated Reader, Monthly Reading Logs, Library activities, Book Club, Book Fair, not to mention the learning in the Library that will take place to participate. If you ever have any questions, please feel free to contact me at school. I look forward to working with your child and YOU to encourage and JOY and LOVE of Reading!

Reading Fair Information

FICTION BOARD EXAMPLEWhat is a reading fair

  • An opportunity for students to share their favorite fiction or non-fiction book through a storyboard display.
  • Enhances and encourages reading at all levels.
  • Allows the school, students, and families to work together collaboratively to promote reading.
  • Demonstrate that students can identify story elements such as characters and plot in Fiction or identify details and facts learned from Non-fiction books.
  • Inspire creativity by allowing students to decorate their storyboard displays to illustrate the theme of a story or tell about facts and information using graphic organizers.
